Jurnaly

Privacy Policy · last updated 20 August 2026

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account we collect your email address and a username. You may optionally add a profile photo, location, and bio. We also store the stories, contributions, and comments you write, and which stories you favorite or which writers you follow.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use this information to run the core features of Jurnaly: showing your contributions to other users, letting people follow you, displaying your profile, and moderating reported content.

3. What Other Users Can See

Your username, avatar, bio, location, points, follower/following counts, and the stories, contributions, and comments you post are visible to other users of the app. Your email address is never shown to other users.

4. Reporting and Moderation

If you report a user or a piece of content, we store the report (who filed it, what it targeted, and the reason) so we can review it. Reports are not visible to other users.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

You can request deletion of your account at any time from Settings. Once requested, your account and the personal data associated with it are removed within a reasonable period.

6. Third-Party Services and Advertising

We use Supabase to store account and app data, and show ads via Google AdMob. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms. Google AdMob may access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to show personalised ads and to measure how they perform. On iOS we ask your permission before this happens, and if you decline you will still see ads, just less relevant ones. In the UK and EEA we also show a consent form covering how advertising partners use your data. Ads are not shown to Premium members.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
